We provide our own drayage services to support the inbound and outbound operations for all of our facilities. This is in-house trucking and not outside and contracted. We also provide stor-door trucking services throughout the Southern California area. Our dispatchers are in communication with all the piers for cargo and equipment availabilities. Our Trinium dispatch system also helps to avoid dock storage, demurrage, and detention issues.
Domestic Intermodal
Cal Cartage Express and CMI provide intermodal pickup and delivery between the Los Angeles and Inland Empire rail ramps and customer destinations or origins. We manage the pickups of empties and loads at the ramps, customer load/unload time, and return olf equipment to the ramps.
Local Van Delivery
If it's cross-town or across the street, we have the equipment to move your cargo. In the company, we own 75 pieces of closed van equipment for the movement of truckload and LTL cargoes.

When you need to move cargo to an area we don't cover, we can make the arrangements to get your freight moved with all the necessary precautions taken to ensure swift and safe delivery. We only broker with a select group of pre-qualified carriers to extend our coverage nationwide.
Tri-axle Chassis
We own the largest fleet of specialized equipment in Southern California. We have plenty of equipment available to move volumes of 20-ft upgraded containers to and from the piers. We have the specialized equipment to move extra-heavy 40-ft containers legally within the Overweight Corridor with tri-axle chassis and 4-axle tractors.
Specialized Equipment
The Cal Cartage companies own a small fleet of drop-deck and lowboy trailers to move your overdimensional freight within Southern California. This is in support of our overdimensional transload facilities in Southern California. We can move your overheight and overwidth cargoes, with permits, anywhere in the region.
